"Enter through plush, forest green curtains into this cozy eatery and there’s no doubt you’ll be greeted with warm smiles. Because of its size, Zack’s Oak Bar and Restaurant offers a feel of exclusivity without the pretentions. A honey-comb tiled floor, oak-panels, and long mirrors line the bar with pictures depicting Hoboken’s early days. Although located off the beaten path, Zack’s isn’t missed by the locals. Some even go as far as to call it Hoboken’s own version of 'Cheers'... Read full article on examiner.com"

"Visited Zack's for Valentine's Day after many recommendations from friends. I was completely blown away by the quality of the food, the terrific service--Elle was a dream--and the value was unbeatable. I'm looking forward to becoming a regular. "

"Zack's is the perfect combination of comfort and elegance, reasonable prices and excellent food. I've never had a bad meal there and always come away refreshed by the ambience and attentive service. The newly renovated decor is much more open and airy, plus the location a few blocks in from Washington Street makes it a more intimate, neighborhood destination "

"Had lunch today.Service, food just as good as dinnertime. Price great. Creative lunch specials, not "same old thing". Pasta special: rigatoni on prosciutto, light vodka sauce. Great dessert REAL raspberries in a dense choc. cake, and a pear tart. Outside dining allowed (too hot, stayed in) "

"New to Hoboken, I was delighted to find such "Cheers" type of bar/restaurant. Not only is the food delicious (you MUST try the stuffed chicken!), service warm and friendly, but Zack's really has a community feel. Not being much of a beer drinker, I was delighted to see such variety of wine and the brownie a la mode hit my sweet spot. Zack's walls are lined with vintage photos of old Hoboken and flowers are displayed in the cozy dining room"
